Day 1 (day of surgery)
It started around 4, but when I checked it was 8.
Sedation anesthesia actually felt surprisingly okay. Seriously, I just opened my eyes half-asleep and the surgery was already over… it felt like a drug lol. I had something like a dream? but like being on drugs, all these different colors kept appearing, and I had this strange dream that wasn’t really a dream.
They did my eyes first, woke me up, and said, “Please try blinking your eyes~” Then I fell asleep again because they were doing my nose.
The swelling on the day of surgery was pretty normal? My face didn’t swell up massively or anything, but my eyes were a bit swollen. I didn’t look like a total monster (maybe because I had imagined the absolute worst), just about the level where it would be awkward if someone ran into me in the elevator, yeah. I wasn’t depressed!
The pain isn’t severe either, just a slight throbbing. Breathing through my mouth is a little uncomfortable, but I’m somewhat used to it. Maybe because I often breathed through my mouth when exercising;; lol
Dinner was risotto! It felt like a Western-style porridge. They told me to drink pumpkin juice, but I didn’t feel like it, so I took two potassium pills. For swelling, isn’t it potassium..
I still can’t tell the shape of my nose, so I don’t know whether it went well or not…… I hope it went well ㅜㅜ For now, they told me to come in tomorrow right away to remove the packing and take out the stitches, so I have to go.
