Just to say in advance, I’ve already had my fifth revision surgery at this point. Because of my nose, I really ended up going under the knife five times at this age I’m in my early 40s now, so half my life has basically been spent with my nose;; Some people may not understand someone like me, but I hope this helps even one person who’s struggling emotionally over plastic surgery.
The reason I started looking into revision again this time was - my nose looks long - I don’t like the shape of my nose.. it looks odd.. - the nostril shape is odd too - the tip of my nose has also turned red…
For reference, I had used everything through my fourth revision - ear cartilage, silicone, septal cartilage, and even autologous costal cartilage - so I was wondering whether I’d even need dermal grafting.
I went to consultations on two consecutive days at ㅋㅇ/ㅇㅇㄹㅁ ㄹㅂㄹ/ㅂㄴㄴ.
ㅋㅇ - I had a CT scan and the consultation fee was 10,000 won. Since they’re famous for revision surgery, I had high expectations. I went at the scheduled time, but the wait was long, and there were a lot of people waiting besides me. The doctor was kind, and I liked that he explained things while fiddling with my nose photo in Photoshop. But I’m not really the type to welcome a very kind personality It may sound strange, but after seeing so many doctors, I found that I matched better with a doctor who speaks bluntly and sharply. They said it was a pretty difficult surgery. That they had to be careful about touching it..;; I said I didn’t like the shape of my nostrils, and they said it might improve a little compared to now, but it’s hard to say it would definitely get better. The manager was kind, but she kept comparing things with her own clinic and talking very much from that angle, so it felt a bit 부담스러웠어. It was the least expensive among the clinics I visited for consultations.
ㅇㅇㄹㅁ - No consultation fee. I’d known about this place for a long time, but there were about as many good reviews as bad ones, so I’d only been deliberating until now and finally went for the first time this round. First impression of the clinic… it looked old and a bit yellowish and dark I’m not going to surgery because of the interior, but compared with other clinics it did feel old, so it was hard not to compare. There was a bit of a wait. There were a lot of Chinese patients too. The doctor’s presence was no joke. As soon as he came in, he basically said, “Okay, start with the questions. Since this is a revision, what shape do you want your nose to become?” The doctor was quick and very decisive. You can tell he’s busy. Still, he answered every question properly. I’ve known about him for a long time, so I know he’s been doing surgery for years, and you can’t ignore that experience. Both the doctor and the manager seemed incredibly interested in the hospital I’d end up choosing;;
ㄹㅂㄹ - Consultation fee 10,000 won. This place was hard to book from the start. I think I reserved it almost a month in advance; The doctor was kind and gentle. I asked whether the shape of my nostrils looked odd, and he said that for now there isn’t much they can do to the alar area.. There isn’t enough skin to reduce the alar width. He said my nose looks too large for my face right now, probably because of the silicone. When replacing the silicone, he suggested making it lower or shortening the tip. There was a recommendation to leave a deposit, but it wasn’t pushy. The surgery cost was the highest.
ㅂㄴㄴ - I had a CT scan and there was no consultation fee. I had high expectations because I’d heard a lot of people come here for both first-time and revision surgeries. Maybe because of the hospital name, the yellow interior was cute The doctor speaks softly, but when talking about surgery he’s decisive. He said the nose itself isn’t huge, it’s just long. He said the starting point of my nose is currently up at the glabella, so I’d need surgery to bring it down to around the level of the pupils. On the CT, there seems to be some kind of foreign material in my nose. He said removing that might improve the nostril shape a little. The manager recommended booking, but not aggressively. The surgery cost was mid-range. He said that to get the nose shape I want, 2-Nofit would be better than regular silicone. He also said the autologous costal cartilage and ear cartilage at the tip could be reused. I liked how they clearly said what could not be done and what could be done. Not vague at all.
After mulling it over, I’ve now finished the surgery as well. Since I’m someone who’s already had revision surgery five times, I tried to choose even more carefully. I’m still recovering too, so I don’t want to recommend a clinic too hastily, but if I have time I’ll post a photo review. Please evaluate it objectively then. Anyway, so far I’m satisfied. In the end, everyone’s 기준 for choosing a hospital is different, so just take this as reference. Just because something worked out well for someone else doesn’t mean it will all work out for me too...

For me too, the clinic where I first got silicone 20 years ago is gone. The clinic where I had revision surgery 19 years ago is the same I changed the silicone 16 years ago, and the doctor there retired the following year after my surgery;; The clinic where I had my fourth surgery in 2018 is still operating well. I missed the after-service period, so I couldn’t get anything.
Even just the places I consulted at add up to several dozen, but if there’s one thing I’ve learned from experience, don’t trust only patient reviews. Go to consultations, look at the doctor, and decide. I hope you don’t get swayed by the manager’s words. The manager will only flatter you to improve her own results. That’s their job too, so what can you do;; It’s your own nose in the end, so don’t hand it over just because the doctor or manager is kind. I hope everyone becomes more冷静 about it.
