2 years ago, I was only going to get a consultation for ptosis correction, but they said my pupils were larger than average, and compared with that, the front part was too closed off, so my field of vision must have felt very stuffy. They said that if I had a little epicanthoplasty, it would be good for both my eye shape and my vision, and I got persuaded lolㅠ So I ended up getting double eyelid surgery + petite epicanthoplasty (a very small one), but I was so, so annoyed that my impression changed a lot because of the epicanthoplasty. They didn’t tell me how much or in what way my impression would change.. They said it would look softer, but yeah right lol sigh... It wasn’t even a surgery I wanted from the start, and for a whole year, whenever I looked at my face, I was so angry and hated itㅠㅠ Please really don’t do epicanthoplasty carelessly.... So I decided on revision surgery, and exactly one year later, after searching online and going around in person, I had consultations at 4 places and decided on this place. To be honest, epicanthoplasty is so hard to make people satisfied with(?), so I’m not 100% satisfied either, but I still think it turned out well enough. I’m about 80% satisfied.
Pros First, they try to accurately understand what the patient wants. They are kind. They don’t seem to want anything too artificial or excessive, so it matched my needs better (this may differ depending on each person’s preferences)
Cons Except for the director, the other staff members are sometimes kind and sometimes unfriendly After surgery, it feels like they pay a little less attention than at first They don’t seem to take many waiting patients at once, but the clinic feels subtly busy
Eyes can keep changing little by little for up to 5 years. I also feel like mine keeps changing more year by year. At first, I was annoyed because the inner corners didn’t come out as sharp as I had expected, but now that it’s my second year, maybe the swelling has gone down more, and I’m more satisfied. I don’t know if I’d recommend it unconditionally, but I strongly recommend going for a consultation
