Even on day 9, the swelling wasn't severe. I suddenly ended up going to Thailand for summer vacation, so I wondered whether I should postpone the surgery, but I also thought, if I postpone it again, when will I ever do it? After thinking about it, I just decided I'd have the surgery and recover in Thailand, and went ahead with it. I'm impatient by nature, so I couldn't wait through the whole recovery period before going. I had consultations at 3 places in total: Louvre Plastic Surgery, JJ Plastic Surgery, and D-Day Plastic Surgery. Since my bulbous nose and hump nose were pretty severe, I really did a lot of research before choosing these places, so if you're concerned about a bulbous nose or hump nose, I think it would be good to consult at those 3 clinics. After weighing the total surgery cost and the consultation with the director, I had it done at D-Day.
For surgery, I had revision eye surgery and rhinoplasty. For the eye surgery, my double eyelids had come undone and turned into an inline crease, so I wanted them to look more open with an in-out line. I wanted a more refreshed, opened-up look, so I wanted medial epicanthoplasty, lateral canthoplasty, lower canthoplasty, and upper epicanthoplasty all done, but the director said medial epicanthoplasty alone would probably be enough, and I think he said there wouldn't be enough space for lateral canthoplasty, so he didn't recommend it. Even though it was revision double-eyelid surgery, he did it with the buried suture method rather than an incision method, and maybe because it was done together with the canthoplasty, my eyes look much more opened up, and the double-eyelid line came out exactly the way I wanted. For rhinoplasty, I focused a lot on the hump nose and bulbous nose, which were my biggest concerns. I had nasal cartilage tying, ear cartilage, and nasal tip surgery. Even before surgery, my nasal bridge had some height, so I had rhinoplasty without an implant. I wanted a naturally refined nose rather than something too flashy.
I went to Bangkok, Thailand 2 weeks after surgery. I had my stitches removed and went right the next day. I originally expected I'd go while very swollen and just get massages there, but I had less swelling than expected, so I took a lot of photos, and when I got massages, I asked them to be really gentle because I was worried strong pressure might strain my nose. I was also worried about flying because everyone online said different things, but there were no real problems. I was worried I might get a nosebleed, but I didn't, and I just diligently applied ointment inside my nose.
The swelling is continuing to go down well, and I'll have to keep watching the results, but it came out well, so so far I'm 100% satisfied.
