Even though I was fairly slim, my calf muscles bulged strangely, so I couldn’t even wear skirts or shorts. I tried calf Botox regularly, but it required a large dose, cost a lot, and quickly returned to normal over time. I realized I couldn’t receive Botox forever, so I began researching calf nerve-blocking surgery, which permanently reduces the muscles by blocking the motor nerves leading to the calf muscles.
I consulted clinics specializing in calves and body contouring, and Volume gave exceptionally realistic advice. They emphasized that if the calf muscles were removed 100%, a person couldn’t walk, and that the nerves had to be blocked precisely within limits that wouldn’t interfere with daily life to prevent complications. Rather than promising to reduce everything, they explained a safe limit and said they would balance even the outer calf muscle, which made me trust them and choose the procedure.
They said that blocking only the gastrocnemius nerves could cause the soleus to develop as a compensatory muscle, so I received treatment on both the gastrocnemius and soleus. About three months after treatment, the muscles had reduced, and I could confidently wear the miniskirts, shorts, and long boots I had always wanted! Even now, two years later, I’m maintaining calf lines like in the photos. I also keep stretching and massaging so my calves don’t become thick again, and I’m continuing to care for my legs for their health! haha.
If you’re deliberating because of bulky calves, I recommend looking into nerve-blocking surgery rather than Botox, since it can be more helpful both financially and in effectiveness~!
