Liposuction Reviews

A 30-something mother’s first-hand review of an upper-arm fat-dissolving injection in Cheonan

Hi! I’m a mother in my 30s raising a child, haha. Today I’m going to write about my upper-arm fat-dissolving injection, which I finally had after deliberating for a long time!

After giving birth, I had a lot of concerns about my figure T_T I tried dieting and exercising to lose weight overall, but the fat on my upper arms stubbornly refused to come off as much as I wanted. It was especially stressful whenever I got dressed. Tight clothes felt too constricting around my upper arms, and even slightly fitted sleeves made them look more prominent. I didn’t want to wear only loose clothes because of my upper arms either T_T Even when my weight dropped a little, I was still conscious of my upper arms, and when I took photos, my arm line was the first thing I noticed, so I kept deliberating.

Then I thought, “This time, I should really try it,” and started looking into upper-arm fat-dissolving injections!

Why I chose a fat-dissolving injection instead of liposuction

At first, I also looked into liposuction. But since I’m raising a child, the recovery period was my biggest concern. My child still needs a lot of hands-on care, so being unable to move properly for several days after the procedure or having my daily routine of holding, bathing, and caring for my child disrupted would have been realistically very difficult. Liposuction also felt burdensome because of the anesthesia and recovery process, and the fact that it is surgery requiring general anesthesia felt significant to me. Of course, the procedure and anesthesia methods may vary by clinic, but while raising a child, I wanted to minimize the burden of recovery as much as possible.

After comparing the options, I chose an upper-arm fat-dissolving injection! I knew that, as a procedure, it could still cause pain, swelling, and bruising. Even so, in my situation, it was important whether I could continue my daily life while recovering, so I found myself leaning toward this option.

After deliberating for so long, I finally had the procedure, haha.

My review on the day of the procedure

Honestly, I was nervous beforehand. No matter how simple a procedure is, it is still being done on my own body, so I was worried. I wondered whether it would hurt and whether I would swell a lot or develop severe bruising afterward.

But once I actually had it done, it did not hurt as much as I had worried it would! Of course, pain can differ from person to person and depending on the treatment area and condition, but by my standards, it was more tolerable than expected.

What I had been most worried about was daily life after the procedure, and because I was not in severe pain from the day of the procedure, I was able to take care of my child too. When you are raising a child, there are many moments when it is difficult to rest even when you are in pain T_T So being able to continue my daily life to some extent after the procedure felt like a really significant advantage to me.

That does not mean I felt absolutely nothing. I had some discomfort in the treatment area, and bruising and swelling also appeared. Still, I was relieved that it did not interfere much with my daily life compared with what I had expected.

Changes one week after the procedure

When about a week had passed, there was still some swelling. But I was curious, so I compared my upper-arm circumference with before the procedure. Before the procedure, it was 31.5 cm, and after about a week, it measured 29.8 cm! Numerically, it had decreased by about 1.7 cm.

It was fascinating to confirm that the circumference had changed even though there was still swelling, haha. Of course, the swelling had not completely subsided at that point, and measurements can vary depending on the conditions, so I do not think this figure represents fat loss alone. Still, measuring it myself and taking photos made it easier to compare before and after.

The bruising was gradually fading, and my upper-arm line also felt more defined than before. At one week, I strongly felt that I was still recovering, so I decided to wait a little longer.

Finally, week two! The current condition of my upper arms

It has already been about two weeks since the procedure! Now, almost all the bruising has disappeared, and my upper-arm line seems to be gradually becoming more defined than at first.

Immediately after the procedure, the swelling and bruising made it difficult to judge the result, but as time passed and changes began to show, it started to feel real little by little. Especially when I compare the photos from week one with the current photos, I feel that the line looks a little more refined.

Since only two weeks have passed, I do not think this is the final result. I plan to keep watching how the line changes as the swelling subsides further and the tissue recovers.

Rather than expecting a dramatic change from the beginning, I mainly hoped that the upper-arm line that had bothered me so much would become even slightly more defined. So now I’m recording it in photos every day and checking the changes, haha.

However, I still have a pulling sensation and some discomfort in my left arm, so I do not consider myself fully recovered. I do not plan to simply dismiss these symptoms as part of recovery; I will check with the clinic and continue monitoring them.

The advantages I personally felt over two weeks, and my honest review

To summarize what I have felt so far: * I wanted to manage the upper-arm fat separately because it did not come off easily even with exercise or dieting. * I chose this after looking into alternatives because I was worried about the recovery burden of liposuction. * By my standards, the pain during the procedure was not as severe as expected. * I was able to continue childcare and daily life because I was not in significant pain from the day of the procedure. * I confirmed a change in upper-arm circumference at one week, and at two weeks, the bruising had almost disappeared and the line felt gradually more defined.

These are the points I have felt through my own experience so far. Of course, pain, swelling, bruising, recovery speed, and results can differ from person to person. I am still recovering too, so I think I need to watch things a little longer.

Even so, finally having the upper-arm procedure I had worried about for such a long time after childbirth was meaningful to me in itself. I’m curious what changes there will be at one month and afterward, so I plan to keep taking photos!

For anyone deliberating over an upper-arm fat-dissolving injection, this may help!

If, like me, you are concerned about upper-arm fat after childbirth, or feel stressed because only your upper arms do not slim down easily even after exercising and losing weight, you may also be considering this type of procedure. However, if you are raising a child, I think it is important to consult carefully not only about the procedure itself but also about whether holding and caring for your child after the procedure would be manageable before deciding.

I am only at week two, so I plan to keep recording the changes ahead, haha. If you have questions about the upper-arm fat-dissolving injection I received or want to know more about the changes before and after the procedure, leave a private comment! I’ll answer as honestly as I can within the scope of my own experience :)
