I had non-incisional lower lateral canthoplasty at another hospital before, but over time the outer corner felt like it had reattached, so the result was a bit disappointing. Even during the consultation back then, I was told the outer corner was blocked by bone, so it would be hard to open it further, and I just gave up and lived with it T_T But because the outer corner of my eyes felt blocked, I kept noticing how stuffy it looked, and my eyes also had a subtly cross-eyed look even though I'm not actually strabismic. Then at the consultation at Answer, I heard that revision outer canthoplasty was possible, and decided to go for Wonder Canthoplasty Revision this time, thinking I should do it properly. Since I'd already had lower lateral canthoplasty once, my biggest worry was what if it reattached again or the change ended up ambiguous. So during consultation, I said I wanted the outer corner opened as refreshingly as possible, and we decided not just to open the outer corner, but also to lower the direction of the eye corner. What stayed with me most was hearing that the part I'd been told was impossible before could actually be done this time. Even on the day of surgery, the outer corner already looked much more open than before. The feeling I was most sensitive about, that blocked, vaguely inward-looking impression at the outer corner, was much less noticeable, and because the eye corner was lowered too, the whole eye shape looks more relaxed. The pain was also almost nonexistent compared with what I had worried about, so even on the same day it felt better than expected. Because this was a revision surgery, I was more worried than excited, but from right after surgery I could already see the direction I wanted, so I'm very satisfied for now haha I had an experience of it reattaching once before, so I'm still being extra careful, but this time the stuffy feeling at the outer corner is definitely gone, and I keep wondering why I didn't come back for another consultation sooner.
