Double-Jaw Surgery Reviews@jaw-review

It’s been 18 days since I had chin advancement surgery

I had enough time to rest for about 9 days after surgery

Maybe because of that, the bruising on my chin area that was visible at first, and the bruises on my neck, maybe from intubation? I’m not sure, disappeared really quickly

Starting today, the swelling has gone down enough that I don’t need to wear a mask

I asked the doctor and took X-ray photos and before-and-after photos, and just looking at the pictures, it really hit me that I went ahead and had this kind of surgery

I can feel the change myself to that extent Of course, to other people it might look subtle I think men especially may be curious, so I’ll keep leaving reviews

1. Since my face is on the longer side, the moment the chin was brought forward, I feel like the overall balance of my face was restored, but it does look sli~ghtly longer

It’s not that I dislike how it looks From my perspective, it looks more balanced, and the image that used to look a bit weak has disappeared a lot   To put it a bit negatively, because my chin length was short, my appearance used to look more youthful, but now I look a little older I’m personally satisfied because this was something I kind of wanted

2. I still can’t open my upper and lower mouth wide enough to eat a hamburger. Even if I want to open it, there’s a limit, and there’s still pain

Right now, my front teeth, front lip, and the tip of my chin still have somewhat reduced sensation. This was also mentioned in the surgical consent form, so I think it’s something I have to accept

Since the surgery, I’ve been consistently checking my condition, and maybe sensation is returning little by little each day, because it keeps tingling

In conclusion, I can eat everything except bulky foods

When will the numb areas come back? I’m a bit scared too, and I keep wondering what if they don’t come back

Next time, I’ll post together with review photos
