I had buried sutures 11 years ago, but they came undone about a year later, so I had an incision procedure at the same clinic. Since this is my third surgery, I was honestly scared to undergo another revision T_T. My eye asymmetry looked especially severe in photos, which was the biggest stress, and I wanted a natural in-out crease. When I consulted another clinic, they recommended all kinds of canthoplasty, so I wondered if it was excessive. They even mentioned medial canthoplasty, but Icon told me it could make my eyes look too overdone, which made me trust them. Instead, they said adding lower canthoplasty could make my expression look much more open, so I chose that direction. This time I had triple buried-suture revision at Icon. Since these eyes have already had two surgeries, I keep worrying about the swelling and the crease settling, but for now it seems better than expected. It is still early and the swelling needs to go down more, but the asymmetry looks less noticeable and the crease seems to be taking on the in-out look I wanted, so I am feeling hopeful lol. I tried to find a day-of-surgery swelling photo but could not find it T_T. I searched extensively for swelling photos before my surgery too, so I am uploading all the photos I have in case anyone is curious. I hope this really is my final revision, and I hope the swelling goes down a little faster T_T.
