The donated costal cartilage remains in the nasal tip, but it has been absorbed a lot>Before<before nose surgery!>1. First rhinoplasty: a nose done using Gore-Tex for the nasal bridge and donated costal cartilage for the nasal tip. 2. Inflammation after 3 months. You couldn't tell from the outside, but inside the nose, a large pimple-like inflammation and pus started. 3. From 6 months onward, inflammatory symptoms became severe, with a bulge on the nasal bridge. The donated costal cartilage used in the nasal tip was absorbed a lot, so the nasal tip became lower. I was prescribed and took a huge amount of anti-inflammatory medication, but it had no effect. Antibiotics can have side effects, so please don't take too much. 4. Finally, 1 year and 6 months after rhinoplasty, only the Gore-Tex was removed. The inflammation disappeared as if it had all been a lie. The donated cartilage remains in the nasal tip. But from 5 months, it had been absorbed a lot, so it was lower than at first. 5. Three months after removal, the nasal tip lifted slightly and then came back down. I think it was probably because the internal tissues were regenerating again. 6. Six months after removal, I got filler in the nasal bridge.
I have questions: Later, I want to do it again with my own costal cartilage. Among those who have built up the nasal bridge with autologous costal cartilage, has anyone experienced warping or other side effects, or do you know anyone who has? Could you let me know? Does warping always happen? A 95% chance? They say there are doctors who use screws, sandwich methods, etc. to prevent warping, but I’m most worried about an autologous costal cartilage block for the nasal bridge. If anyone has reviews or knows someone who had autologous costal cartilage diced and chemically solidified, I would be very, very grateful if you could let me know.
