It’s day 2 since I got lateral and lower canthoplasty from Director Song Hoon at Girin!
Reason: My facial features tend to be clustered toward the center, and the outer corners of my eyes are quite upturned, so going outside without eye makeup was really stressful. That’s why I decided to get the surgery!
Consultation-surgery: My appointment was at 2 and the surgery was at 3, and I really felt like their system was extremely thorough! I had a consultation with the consultant first and then with the director. He explained the surgical method and side effects in great detail, and just like the reviews said, he clearly told me what could and couldn’t be done, which I liked! What surprised me so much was that after the consultation, I went straight into the operating room without waiting, so I was a little flustered. There really was that little waiting time! Even after lying down on the operating table, everything proceeded so quickly that I didn’t even have time to be scared lololol
Surgery: They reassured me while doing the surgical design, then did my left eye and right eye. When I woke up from sedation, my left eye was already done, so the right eye was done while I was awake. The pain was more like a throbbing ache? On a scale from 0 to 10, it throbbed at about a 1!
After surgery: You can stay in the recovery room as long as you want, but because of my train time, I didn’t even lie down for 5 minutes? before leaving the clinic. My vision looked doubled, like someone with astigmatism, but it wasn’t to the point that I couldn’t get around. The medication cost was 58,000 won including artificial tears! As soon as I left the pharmacy, I went to the nearby Mom’s Touch, ate like crazy, and went to catch my train!
Tip(?): They say wearing a bucket hat is good, but if you don’t have one, there’s no need to buy one. A baseball cap is enough!
Swelling process: Day of surgery (slight conjunctival edema in the left eye, nothing else) -> Day 1 (conjunctival edema in the left eye + swelling under the eye) -> Day 2 (conjunctival edema in the left eye + eyelid and even the glabella swollen, so I’m basically a swelling human, just turned into Anpanman)
