(I wrote this elsewhere too, so I’m using polite speech.)
I decided to have my first plastic surgery be double eyelid surgery... and I decided to go to a place with a lot of people.
I went to Gangnam and mostly to famous places.
There were lots of people there, it was bustling, and the online reviews were good.
I thought they must be really good and decided.
On the surgery day, a female doctor in a white coat came in.
Then she kept saying I had to do things exactly as the doctor requested.
“Look at the center of your own finger, look this side…” she kept teaching like that for about 15–20 minutes.
Then I met the assigned male surgeon, and because it was my first surgery and I was trembling,
when I was trembling and stuttering, he shouted at the white-coated female doctor saying she hadn’t taught me properly.
I was flustered too... and then, to me, he said, “Ah, there’s nothing you can do. You lost a good chance.”
He said something like, “We should just mark the eye line like this,”
and then started the surgery.
Even after anesthesia, during the operation, the pupil kept moving even though my eyes were closed,
and from the white-coated doctor’s side I could hear her blaming me.
Honestly, you can hear everything even under anesthesia...^^
That day I came home in a dazed state.
After going home and thinking it over, I got angry, and because of the review-event thing they kept calling me.
I told them everything that had happened to me, and in the end, the left double eyelid also came out thicker and uneven.
Then they removed me from the review event ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ.....
The money wasn’t cheap either, for just a double eyelid surgery, ㅋㅋ...
Later I found out the white-coated lady doctor was actually the consult coordinator, not the doctor who advised me—someone I had never met.
If you pay for surgery, it’s not acceptable that they can’t even stabilize the pupil ㅠㅠ
I still can’t understand why she kept scolding me and made me restless the whole time during surgery...
After this I realized: be careful when choosing; don’t go to a fly-by-night market.
I should go to a medium-size hospital that can focus fully on me.
For other areas I’ll still check many places this time, but I’m going to try to avoid large hospitals.
