Three-year review after natural-adhesion semi-out double-eyelid surgery

I did have a very thin inner double eyelid, but I was almost monolid, with sleepy-looking eyes that opened using forehead muscles. I only had natural-adhesion surgery, but it also felt as though it improved my eyelid opening, and I liked that the way I opened my eyes changed a little. Although people used to tell me that my eyes were large even as a monolid and that monolids were attractive, I didn’t like them much when applying makeup, so I had double-eyelid surgery. My upper eyelids weren’t thick, so I chose the natural-adhesion method. I didn’t plan to have epicanthoplasty, but I wanted a clear, open look with a widening effect, and it was somewhat trendy at the time, so I chose a semi-out line. It also had the thickness I wanted, so the result came out that way. People don’t realize I had surgery, but once in a while they ask if I did. I like that the line shows when I draw eyeliner, and even I think it looks natural and well done, but lately I’ve been wondering whether the crease is slightly high. T_T I sometimes think, “What if it had been just a little lower?” Of all the procedures I’ve had, this hurt the most and the swelling didn’t go down quickly. I thought double-eyelid surgery was very easy, almost like a procedure, so I didn’t think much of it, but the swelling lasted the longest. Looking at the before-and-after difference now, I’m glad I did it. Still, since I was job hunting, short on money, and booked based only on the visible price without knowing much, I do wish I had researched more and paid a little more. For something I impulsively had done cheaply at a large hospital, I think the outcome was quite successful.
