There doesn’t seem to be much information here about upper lip line enlargement, so now that six months have passed, I’m writing this to share my progress and tips! My upper lip was so thin and the border so faint that filler couldn’t really solve it... I had to overline my lips every morning, which took up so much time, and I was stressed because my lips looked like they were floating. I wasn’t very interested in filler because I heard too much could make it protrude or spread sideways.. I thought enlarging the lip line itself might be better! Since the lip skin is thin, I was most worried about an incision scar. The doctor said technique matters, but the outcome differs greatly depending on how post-operative scar care is provided. I chose [Clinic A], where aftercare laser treatment was included, and received periodic care for six months! The photo order is [1. before surgery / 2. five days after surgery / 3. six months after surgery]. Photo 2 was taken just before the stitches were removed; there was redness along the incision, so I was slightly nervous about whether it would heal neatly haha.. But after the stitches were removed, I received regenerative laser and scar care from the one-month mark, and as time passed, it settled well with almost no visible trace, like photo 3. Unless you look closely up close with a bare face, you can hardly feel the incision mark! The best thing after surgery is that lip makeup has become so much easier. I don’t need to overline anymore—just applying tint roughly gives clear volume and definition, making my overall impression look much more defined and lively haha. If you’re considering surgery because your upper lip is thin or hesitating because of scar concerns, look at the photos for reference! I strongly recommend choosing a place with a good post-operative care program. Leave a comment if you have questions!
