It’s already been 9 months since my liposuction! These days, I feel like I’ve almost forgotten that I had liposuction at all, lol. At first, I checked the mirror every day to see how much the swelling had gone down and whether my contours had changed, but now this body simply feels completely familiar. I had liposuction on my entire back, flanks, and love handles, removing about 8,600 cc of pure fat. Since a lot was removed, I had quite a bit of swelling at first, and some areas felt stiff or hard to the touch, but at 9 months those sensations have almost disappeared. Even at 7–8 months I thought everything had mostly settled, but strangely, as more time passed, I could feel it becoming gradually more natural. The areas that stressed me out most were my back and love handles. Even a little weight gain made my back look thick from behind, and I was always bothered by the parts that protruded at the sides of my waist. Now my back definitely looks slimmer from behind, and the line from my waist to my hips falls naturally, so I’m most satisfied with that. What feels more noticeable than the numbers is wearing clothes. In the past, whenever I wore a tight dress or crop top, I always checked from behind first, lol. I kept worrying whether my back or flanks looked prominent and even subtly chose certain angles when taking photos, but now that stress has almost disappeared. Taking photos and videos is definitely more comfortable too. Since I worry less about my back fat or flanks standing out from certain angles, I can focus more on the overall fit of my clothes and my poses. Looking back after 9 months, I really don’t think you should judge liposuction based only on the early appearance. At 1 month, I also had moments of wondering, “Is this really right?” because of the swelling, and the contours started becoming visible little by little from around month 2–3. Around 6 months, most of the major swelling had gone down, and at 7–9 months, the remaining minor swelling and stiffness gradually eased, making everything look more natural. Personally, I think my satisfaction became much higher after 6 months. After surgery, I consistently received the aftercare recommended by the clinic and tried not to overexert myself during recovery. During the consultation, the doctor directly checked my fat layer with ultrasound, and I remember appreciating how they considered which areas should be refined for the best contours for my body type, rather than simply removing as much as possible. They also continued checking my recovery after surgery, so it was reassuring to have someone to ask when I was worried about swelling or lumps early on. My scars have also become much lighter compared with the beginning, and I have almost no discomfort in daily life. In fact, after reaching 9 months, I think I’m much more satisfied now than immediately after surgery. At first, I wondered, “Why am I still swollen when 8,600 cc was removed?” lol, but looking back, I simply needed time to recover. If you’re considering liposuction because of your back, flanks, or love handles, I hope you won’t worry too much based only on how you look immediately after surgery. Of course, recovery speed and results vary from person to person, but for me, everything definitely became more natural with time. What I like most now is that I no longer have to check my back view before getting dressed or avoid certain angles when being photographed, like before. Around month 9, it feels less like a “liposuction body” and more like it has simply become my body! I’m not sure whether there will be another noticeable change at month 10, lol, but I’ll leave another honest review comparing it with now 😊
