It feels like my first consultation was only yesterday, but it has already been two months since surgery! During my first consultation, they pointed out and explained features of my face, such as my marionette lines and nasolabial folds, that I hadn’t thought could be addressed through contouring. That immediately made me feel this was the right clinic, so I decided to have surgery. I also liked that they clearly told me I didn’t need square-jaw surgery and that cheekbone reduction and chin surgery alone would be enough. The clinic cared for me in detail from before surgery through the postoperative period, and especially the coordinator assigned to me was incredibly kind and considerate, so I think I was able to focus on recovery with peace of mind. The swelling went down much faster than expected, and on day 8, when I told my friends that I had swelling from a laser-lifting treatment on my chin, everyone believed me. Interestingly, unlike other people who had contouring surgery, my bruises turned yellow from the beginning. I later learned this was because there was less bleeding during surgery. Someone who heard my story even said that bruising like that meant the surgeon was truly skilled and asked which clinic it was. My facial line has changed naturally and beautifully, exactly as much as I wanted, so I’m very pleased! I never really liked the distinctive “contoured face” look, but the surgeon’s aesthetic sense is similar to mine, so I think I got exactly the line I wanted. Even though the swelling hasn’t completely gone down, people tell me photos turn out well, which makes me even more excited for the future!
