Recently, I've gotten so used to my face after double eyelid surgery that I even forget I had surgery. From the day of surgery until now, people don't know that I had double eyelid surgery. Even on the first day of surgery, I told my mom I had put on double eyelid tape (?) and there was so little swelling that she believed it. Now that I'm trying to find photos from the day of surgery, I don't have anyㅠ-ㅠ Why did I delete all the photos I took right after surgery...
These days, techniques have improved, so there seem to be many clinics with very little swelling, but there were some 6 years ago too. At the time of surgery, I went after seeing reviews saying this place had the least swelling, but I don't know if this clinic is still famous for that now.
For the surgical method, I originally went for a consultation for the advertised natural adhesion? kind of method, but because I had a lot of flesh on my upper eyelids, I did a partial incision and also had fat removed. The clinic was in Seoul, but I live in another region, so they arranged it so I could remove the stitches myself. Back then, I went straight into surgery on the same day as the consultation, but I don't know how it is these days.
Looking at my old photos again, I definitely did change. At the time, I wanted an outline crease, but the director said that with my eyes, doing an outline crease or making the surgery too big would look strange, and said they would make it as natural and pretty as possible. But back then, I also really wanted it to look natural, like it was originally mine, without being obvious, so I think I was satisfied.
Recently I was debating whether to get a revision and make it bigger, but after seeing my old photos, I decided to go back to my original mindset lolol Instead of double eyelid surgery, I think I'll get posterior canthoplasty haha
