Eye Surgery Reviews

Writing a review of incisional ptosis correction + medial canthoplasty haha

I never thought my eyes were especially unattractive, so I lived well without considering double-eyelid surgery. Recently, though, I became self-conscious that the distance between my eyes and eyebrows looked too wide, and it was stressful that the strength of my two eyes seemed different, making even the eyebrow heights look uneven T_T. I wondered if double eyelids would make me look more defined, so I suddenly started researching double-eyelid surgery... haha. To be honest, I didn’t visit many clinics... haha. I live in Incheon, and several friends who had eye surgery at this clinic turned out really well haha. I asked where they had it done, and heard this clinic’s name more than three times, so I simply went straight for a consultation. When I first explained what bothered me, the doctor drew several possible lines, and I liked more of them than expected haha. I described various details about the look I wanted, and the doctor adjusted the line accordingly and explained well why that approach was better. I liked the very kind, almost fatherly feeling. I had always wanted medial canthoplasty along with double-eyelid surgery, so I asked about it, and the doctor said there was no need to open it too much; it would be best to make it natural to suit my eyes, so I decided to do it together. I scheduled incisional surgery, medial canthoplasty, and ptosis correction, and decided much faster than expected—I didn’t know I would do it so soon haha. On the day of surgery I was extremely nervous, but when I woke up, it was already over... When I looked in the mirror, I was too distracted by the swelling to know whether it had turned out well T_T. Naturally, there was swelling and bruising at first, and my eyes were very swollen when I opened them in the morning. They felt a little uncomfortable while the stitches were in, but after they were removed at one week, I think the swelling started dropping rapidly. It has been a month now, and I had prepared myself for incisional swelling to last a really long time, but fortunately it is going down faster than I expected T_T. You can still see the incision line up close, and I’m still somewhat swollen in the morning, so it seems too early to call it completely natural, but I think it is gradually settling into the look I wanted haha. I’m really glad I did medial canthoplasty too!! The stuffy feeling at the inner corners is gone, and the line connects naturally with the double eyelids, so I’m extremely satisfied!! I live in Incheon, and that was actually a big advantage. After surgery, you have to go back to remove stitches, attend follow-ups, and receive care, so having the clinic nearby was definitely convenient. It would have been such a hassle to travel far with swollen eyes T_T T_T T_T. At first I only thought it would be nice to have double eyelids, but afterward my impression became clearly more defined, which is fascinating, and opening my eyes is easier too... haha. There is still some residual swelling at one month, but this looks like a success~~
