I had arm liposuction and I’m about 2–3 weeks out. Bruising and swelling: strangely, there was zero swelling on the day of surgery, but it started that evening. Bruises appeared the next day and are now turning yellow and gradually fading. I don’t tend to swell much, but there still seems to be some swelling. Pain: at first it felt like being hit by someone with a punching machine. I wonder about people who say it doesn’t hurt—are they robots? Still, I’m recovering faster than expected, and seeing the lines emerge makes me think the truly painful part is brief. Scars: they are a little smaller than I saw on the clinic website. I’m not sure whether they will disappear completely, but reviews from over a year later show they are barely visible. There is also Fraxel in the aftercare, and the scars are small and in a not very visible location. Overall, it is naturally not dramatic yet because of the swelling, but even taking that into account, they removed a lot, and the arms look nicely straight without hanging, so I’m generally satisfied.
