I came back for a follow-up one week after nasal implant removal~ Until then, my nose was naturally very swollen and I looked like a fish-man, but today I had the nasal sutures removed and swelling laser treatment, and it suddenly seemed much better, so I’m writing a review ~~
Seven years ago, I fractured my nasal bone, so while having surgery for that, I also had functional rhinoplasty with three procedures: donated rib material for the bridge, septal cartilage for the tip, osteotomy, tip suturing, and so on. It was my first surgery, but they did a lot of different things
The operated nose was high and straight from between the eyes to the tip, with an upturned, pinched tip. Anyone could tell it had been operated on; it looked artificial, masculine, and unattractive. I lived like that, pretending not to notice, but after about six years, the tip began to feel tight and painful, the foreign-body sensation became severe, and the pinched nostrils gradually became triangular and more visible. I felt I couldn’t live like that forever, so I started looking into removal~
I went to consultations at about five places. I chose this one because they explained my nasal condition the best during the consultation and seemed likely to take responsibility through the end. (Actually, I kept wavering right up until the surgery)
For the functional nose surgery, everything except the nasal valve was removed. Now that one week has passed, the shape of my nose changes dramatically every day, probably as the swelling goes down. In the photos, the upper left is my original nose, the upper right is the operated nose, and the two photos below show yellow bruising on the bridge one week after removal.
My original nose had a slightly saddle-shaped bridge with a hump. Perhaps because the swelling has gone down, my profile now looks prettier than both my original and operated noses The pinched appearance was also quite severe, but they straightened it out well. From the front, it is becoming about 80% similar to my original nose. I wish the columella would come down just a little more. Once the swelling goes down further, will the columella or tip drop a little more?
Now the scary contraction period is still ahead. That part scares me a bit. Anyway, I received a lot of help, so I tried to write as honestly as possible~ I’ll write another review next time too~~
