I previously had double eyelid surgery with the buried suture method, but one side came undone. It didn’t just come undone, it formed a double crease, so it really bothers me. I had no choice but to decide to get revision surgery, and I went around to consultations myself.
1. ㅇㄴㅂ (ㅈㅊㅎ): First of all, there were a lot of foreigners. The director has a lot of pride in natural adhesion double eyelid surgery. He said he was the first to create it or something. For my eyes, he also recommended natural adhesion + ptosis correction. I felt burdened by incisional surgery, so I liked the idea of natural adhesion. However, the director spoke informally a lot, so I didn’t feel like he was especially kind.... Still, he checked by pinching my eyes several times, and didn’t recommend anything else, so I just thought maybe he has a lot of pride in his work. Also, they said Director ㅈㅊㅎ only does eye surgery. Since this is revision surgery, I was drawn to the fact that he specializes in eyes.
An acquaintance didn’t get double eyelid surgery, but had another surgery there and was very satisfied, so they recommended it. Honestly, because it’s a recommendation from someone I trust, I really feel like I want to just do it here if possible. However, you have to write a review to get a discount.
2. ㄴㅅㅎ (ㄱㅈㅎ): First of all, the consultant here was extremely thorough. She kindly explained every single thing, and even after the consultation, she sent me the price and other details again carefully through KakaoTalk (I’m not sure if it was because I made a tentative reservation). Director ㄱㅈㅎ also explained everything calmly and well. Here, they recommended ptosis correction + partial incision, but I was a bit conflicted because I heard partial incision isn’t really the trend these days.
For now, it seems like their aftercare is pretty good, they offer 3 years of AS, and thanks to the thorough consultant, I did feel trust. Also, this place doesn’t pressure you to write a review. The price is also the cheapest. However, while ㄴㅅㅎ as a clinic itself is famous, there aren’t many reviews for Director ㄱㅈㅎㅠㅠ
3. ㅍㄹㅇㅂ (ㅇㅈㅇ): The consultant was reasonably thorough, and when I had the consultation, the director explained things really, really well. In terms of consultation, it was so good that I honestly wanted to get surgery from Director ㅇㅈㅇ right away, and the online reviews I found were also decent. However, unlike ㅇㄴㅂ or ㄴㄴ, it’s not a place where someone I know had surgery, so I’d have to trust only the internet and my own consultation instincts, which worries me. Since it’s revision surgery, I’m even more worried for no reason. Also, the price was on the higher side.
But if the surgery turns out well, what does the price matter..... I’m really torn. ㅍㄹㅇㅂ also recommended buried suture + ptosis correction. They even drew a picture while explaining why I need ptosis correction, so it felt very trustworthy.
4. ㄴㄴ (ㄱㅂㅇ): I went because an acquaintance introduced me. Personally, I didn’t really like the consultant that much.... But the director was okay. Here too, they recommended buried suture + ptosis correction. He did check my eyes with something like a toothpick, but it didn’t feel extremely thorough, and I got the sense that he likes a more dramatic style. My friend is also satisfied, but she’s someone who suits a dramatic look well. Her eyes are pretty, but dramatic styles don’t suit my eyes very well. He recommended raising it by 1 mm more.
Since this was also a referral from a trustworthy acquaintance, I was drawn to it, but first of all, I didn’t feel like the consultant would take good care of aftercare, and although the director was okay, I got the feeling my eyes would turn out dramatic, so I canceled the reservation.
5. ㅇㅇㄴㅋ (ㅇㅎㅇ): They also gave a very good consultation. During the director’s consultation, he even took photos himself while checking. Here, they said that even if I do non-incisional surgery, it would come undone again, so they recommended incisional surgery + ptosis correction. But they said non-incisional surgery is possible too. All the other clinics recommended non-incisional surgery, but this place strongly recommended incision. They said they could do it well without leaving scars, but.... I’m still not really mentally ready for incision. The director also had a lot of pride and explained things very thoroughly, but the price was the most expensive and there was a big difference compared to other clinics.
Also, he said incisional surgery can come undone too, but he kept recommending incision, so I felt a bit disappointed.
