They say the first nose surgery is important, so after searching online for a long time, I had a total of 8 clinics on my list: ㅍㄹㅇㅂ, ㅂㄴㄴ, ㄴㄴ, ㅁㅋ, ㅇㅇㄹㅁ, ㅁㅌ, ㄷㄷㅇ, ㅁㅂ. I forced myself to narrow it down to 3 and went for consultations. I’m hoping to have surgery before mid-September.
ㅍㄹㅇㅂ Camera photos With the consultant, I talked about the nose design I wanted and the timing of surgery, and with the director, I talked about the surgery itself. My nose is very small and my bridge is low, so they said my septal cartilage would probably be small and that silicone and costal cartilage would need to be used. They said I don’t have a bulbous nose. Maybe the director had just finished surgery, but he seemed a bit rushed and busy. It’s uncertain whether surgery would be possible in mid-September. There was no pressure to book, but they said it would be better to reserve in advance. The price was really expensive.. It was my first nose surgery, and I was shocked. CCTV: yes
ㅂㄴㄴ CT scan (they asked if I wanted to do it) It was similar to the first clinic. I talked about the nose design with the consultant and also heard the price first. The director explained while drawing the nose shape on something like a tablet. They said it wasn’t severe, but I had some bulbous-nose tendency, so they suggested correcting the bulbous nose by making the nasal tip sharper and more elevated. They also explained functional nose surgery while looking at the CT scan together. They said my nose doesn’t need functional nose surgery. But if my septal cartilage is small, they would use donated costal cartilage, and autologous costal cartilage is also possible if I want it. Surgery is possible within mid-September, and the price was within my expected range, so it was okay. CCTV: yes
ㄴㄴ CT scan It’s a large clinic, so I tried going once, but there were a lot of people and the wait was long. I had a consultation with the consultant about nose design and cost, but they said I would have to wait much longer to see the director, and that I’d either need to choose a director and make another reservation later or wait longer. I felt a bit upset, but since I didn’t have anything scheduled anyway, I waited. I met the director after almost 30 minutes. They said my nose is small, but it is indeed a bulbous nose. They said I need nostril base reduction. They said the length of my nose needs to be increased. They suggested inserting about 4-5 mm of silicone to lengthen it and raise the bridge. But the director looked so tired.. When I read consultation reviews, many people said it felt like a factory-style clinic, and I think I kind of understood what they meant. The consultant was kind. She explained everything that needed to be explained. But the consultant also looked tired.. When I asked if surgery would be possible in mid-September, they said it should be possible for now. But since it’s my first nose surgery, is 3 consultations on the low side? If it’s not enough, I’m thinking of going to a few more.
