I had one-type cheekbone surgery and liposuction of the cheekbones and deep cheeks. If I have abnormal sensation around the philtrum, could a nerve have been damaged? T_T When I do eye makeup, my philtrum feels itchy and prickly, and the sensation there is strange. It is not completely numb—I can feel it—but when I stay still, it feels extremely tight, as if someone is squeezing it very hard. Sometimes it tingles. What could be the reason? I have rhinitis and my nose runs a lot, but I cannot feel the mucus flowing, so I end up with a runny nose without noticing. The clinic said sensation would return with time, but it has been about 1 year and 5 months since surgery and it is still the same. Has anyone experienced this? Please let me know.
