It’s been really long since I wrote a before-and-after post!! The cheekbone surgery I talked about before was successful too! There’s a clear difference from before, so I’m satisfied.
Recently, this is also where I had surgery. Since big hospitals or places with lots of people can be noisy because of medical accidents and various issues, I’m the type who thinks it’s better to go to a private clinic that seems relatively trustworthy. So I first had double eyelid surgery at a private clinic with partial incision burial, but it came undone and dropped in less than a year. My eyes were already small, and I didn’t want to go through pain again, so I thought I might as well do canthoplasty too. I looked for hospitals specializing in canthoplasty, or when asking other hospitals for quotes on other areas, I also asked about it. But every single one of them said canthoplasty wouldn’t be possible for these eyes, because the space between the bone and the eye was narrow, so there would be no effect and they didn’t recommend it. Even so, I absolutely didn’t give up, and tried to find a way on my own, from the hospital that first developed rear canthoplasty to canthoplasty hospitals that had been known by word of mouth for a while. I searched one by one through videos from plastic surgery clinics where influencers appeared in patient gowns for their surgery reviews, quickly made a consultation reservation, and went here.. I came deliberately at an early time slot, thinking there would be about a 30-minute wait, but there was no waiting time. The atmosphere was actually quiet. The operating rooms were on the 7th floor, and the main desk was on the 8th floor. At the consultation main desk, there were about five staff members, and it was very simple because all I had to do was have my name called and register my phone number. The consultant didn’t really pressure me into this or that, so I felt comfortable. All the staff were working with smiles, so I think I felt it had a comfortable atmosphere too. The points that were different from other hospitals were: I had all the canthoplasties + ptosis correction + double eyelid revision surgery, and there was a separate director who only performed rear canthoplasty. For the other areas, another director was in charge, so for one consultation, I consulted with two doctors over two sessions. I had a problem with parking and called them once, and they accepted the feedback right away too! Sometimes when I go to some hospitals, I get the feeling that they’re just doing business, but here I really felt like it was a ^hospital^ that performs surgery for the patient. After going around many plastic surgery clinics, I think this was the first place that responded this kindly. My bias that private clinics are the safest and best disappeared. The operating room was also much larger than the existing lobby and felt like an operating room at a university hospital. For the surgery too, they gave a sedation anesthesia injection first, and while I slept briefly, they administered local anesthesia and operated, so there was really not even 1 bit of pain. Even during daily life after surgery, aside from it being uncomfortable to open my eyes, there was no pain X. Now my eyes open well, and people around me say they look pretty. The swelling hasn’t completely gone down yet, but hearing that my eyes look bigger already makes me excited. I’m very satisfied because they also take good care of aftercare. I’m recommending it to friends around me who are considering canthoplasty or double eyelid revision surgery. If I have another area of concern next time, I plan to revisit.
