One-month review after complete nose surgery removal

Before<from top: 2 weeks - 3 weeks - 1 month>Before<surgical nose - natural nose - nose 9 days after removal>Before<surgical nose - natural nose - nose 9 days after removal>I brought one-month photos! I heard you can only upload another review post after 60 days have passed since posting one, so I deleted the 9-day post I uploaded before and am writing again!

(Among the photos, the one-month photos seem to show the nostrils a bit more because the angle is lower than the two photos above.) Please keep that in mind haha

My surgery history is just one primary surgery, and I had 3.5 mm silicone with septal extension, with mesh reinforced on both sides.

During removal, I had the silicone removed, capsule removed, mesh removed, and part of the scar tissue removed.

Right after taking off the splint, the sense of loss was no joke lol There was no contour, and since my nose was originally small and low, I wondered if it had really been this much, but it was because of the swelling. Once the splint is removed, the swelling goes down quickly. As the nasal bridge contour appeared, I escaped the Avatar nose look and it became less smooth and featureless.

Maybe because I had the capsule removed, the bruising was no joke until before the splint came off, so I iced it like crazy for 4 days, and after splint removal, I did a lot of warm compresses for the nasal bridge contour. I also drank two packs of pumpkin juice a day, but I’m not sure if it helped;;

It’s only been a month, so I need to wait and see more, but so far it’s okay. Right after removal, my nose felt soft, but now it seems to be settling in and gradually getting firmer. Still, it’s softer and more pliable than my surgical nose. It had been extremely hard because of the meshﻭ‎ﻭ‎

I don’t know if I just haven’t felt the contraction period yet, but I don’t have a crazy pulling sensation. But I think the shape of my nostrils has changed slightly. They used to be round, but maybe the contraction period came quietly without me noticing, and they feel like they lifted into a slightly triangular shape..? Still, I think it’s a relief that there’s no major problem. (+Now that I look, they’ve returned to being similar to my natural nostrils lol)

For care, I do a warm compress once a day, sleep with a humidifier on, and wash only with warm water when I wash my face. I’m also consistently taking a multivitamin. I’m also taking the contracture medication prescribed by the hospital. They say I have to take it for three monthsﻭ‎ﻭ‎

So far, nothing unusual has happened, so I’m satisfied. The nostril shape changes little by little, but the side profile seems unchanged from day 9. From the front, it still seems half surgical nose and half natural nose. My natural nose was so small and chubby-looking, so maybe that’s why I’m satisfied with how it looks now!

When I was looking up removal information, there wasn’t much about mesh removal. Especially old cases like mine were rareㅠ Most people were doing early removal or removal after 2-3 years. So I was really worried about adhesions. Since after 5 years, it would be a time when everything had probably already adhered, and I had heard removal would be very difficult. I’m relieved it was removed well.
