I had ptosis correction at a plastic surgery clinic near Sinsa Station, and after watching the director on YouTube and being drawn in by his confidence about ptosis correction and lateral canthoplasty, I decided to have the surgery. 1. Immediately after surgery: For a few weeks right after the surgery, there was swelling and slight pain, and I managed it with ice packs and medication. Since the incision was made along the double-eyelid line on one side, that side swelled more, but in the end, now that 2 years have passed, the lines are symmetrical.
2. After 1 month: The swelling completely went down, and my eyes gradually looked more natural. It got to the point where I forgot I had even had surgery.
3. After 1 year: Around this time, the incision areas became very hard to notice. Sometimes when I see how I looked before surgery, it actually feels like it is not me.
Additional thoughts: As a man, I initially debated whether or not to get ptosis correction, but I think I made the right decision. I do not recommend lateral canthoplasty. I also developed chemosis, but I feel like there is no change compared to before.
For men, eye surgery needs to look natural, and in that sense, I recommend ptosis correction at that plastic surgery clinic (but it is quite expensive). I do not recommend lateral canthoplasty (there is almost no change).
