Cheekbone Surgery Reviews

Six-Month Review After Soda Cheekbone Reduction

My cheekbones were large overall, especially the lateral cheekbones, and I disliked how uneven my facial line looked from the front, so I decided to have surgery. I consulted several places, was highly satisfied with my consultation with the surgeon, and chose this clinic because it specializes in facial contouring, is a one-surgeon clinic, and the procedure could be done with sedation anesthesia alone. Since I had sedation anesthesia, I felt no difficulty at all from the day of surgery, and although I tend to swell easily, the swelling was genuinely much less than expected. I was swollen through day three, but after high-frequency treatment on day four, the swelling completely disappeared—honestly, I am not exaggerating. Rather than merely looking natural for cheekbone surgery, it was so subtle that no one could tell I had done anything. I may be someone who responds especially well to high-frequency treatment, but since the aftercare is good, definitely receive it. The treatment staff were very kind and thorough. For reference, I am a student and had the surgery without telling my parents. Until day three, I told them the swelling was from contour injections, and they believed me. I did have bruising, though. It lasted over a week as yellow bruises, but makeup covered it. Even though it was only one cheekbone procedure, I thought it was still major work because it involves facial contouring. I consider myself very lucky that it passed so comfortably without downtime. When I used to hear that celebrities’ cheekbones disappeared after a few weeks, I would think, “Do they really think cutting bone can happen just by taking a short break?” But after experiencing it myself, I realized it really is possible. If you are only doing cheekbones, two weeks should be enough even if you allow plenty of recovery time. I was careful with food for a month. Compared with how quickly the swelling went down, opening my mouth was uncomfortable for a month. Above all, Dr. Kwon Jae-hyun is incredibly sweet. That was one of the main reasons I chose this clinic from the consultation, and even after surgery, whenever I go for follow-ups, he always tries to explain things at length and is so kind. He always asks if there is anything else I am curious about, but I immediately say no—not because I dislike it, but because I am so satisfied that there is nothing else I particularly need to ask, so please know that.. I had very large lateral cheekbones, so from the beginning he said an exaggerated doll-like line was not possible and that he would reduce them as much as possible while matching my facial shape. I think it turned out exactly that way, so I am very satisfied. It looks so natural that I thought he had not reduced much, but when I compared before and after on a CT scan, the difference was actually large. I had vaguely thought contouring should be done in winter, but after trying it, I do not think the season matters. If you are considering it, schedule your date as soon as possible while the weather is cooler. Clinics are extremely busy in winter.. I went for a follow-up and was told the bones had healed well, so I also decided to have pin-removal surgery here after a few more months, in winter. I do not have to, but I think I will feel more comfortable if I do
