My mom’s impression had changed a lotㅠㅠ I had saved up vacation money and decided to use it once as a filial gift, so I gave her surgery as a present.
She kept saying it was fine and asking why she needed cosmetic surgery, but I researched consultations myself, made the appointments, and dragged her there with same-day notice haha. We went around to consultations together, compared places, and it felt like a date with my mom for the first time in a while. Reviews are of course important too, but honestly this varies so much by case that I thought the consultation content was more important. I told her that Director Oh had good reviews for middle-aged patients too, and that the atmosphere during the consultation seemed good, and my mom thought the same. I think it was probably because he explained things very comfortably + kindly during the consultation.
She was originally stressed about the bulging under her eyes, so we thought about only operating on that area, but they said that if she did a midface lift together, areas like the nasojugal groove/Indian lines would also improve, so she had both procedures. Until 2 weeks after surgery, because of swelling and bruising, she wore sunglasses whenever she went out, so my dad teased her every day by calling her a celebrity haha. Now that the bulging under her eyes is gone, her impression looks much brighter, and I can feel that her face has become firmer. My dad says he feels like he married someone new haha. Even to me, my mom looks about 10 years younger, so I’m satisfied. My mom doesn’t show it in front of me, but seeing her take selfies when she never used to, I think she’s very satisfied. We couldn’t go on vacation this summer, but still, it feels like I did something big for my mom for the first time in 2n years, so I feel good^^
