Nose Re-Surgery

I had my nose removal surgery

I’ve finally reached a major milestone in my long journey of removing nasal implants… I was secretly very worried that mesh or Medpor had been inserted because the tip cartilage was so hard, but when they opened it, everything—including the support, tip, and area above the nose—was ear cartilage, apparently layered with two pieces. I don’t know whether it was hard because of that or because it had hardened after the inflammation years ago… Anyway, they removed all the ear cartilage and capsule, and I feel relieved. (For reference, my first surgery involved silicone and ear cartilage. About ten years ago, inflammation developed, so I had only the silicone removed through a closed approach and lived with it. Today, they removed all the ear cartilage and capsule remaining in my nose.) I’m scared because the shape isn’t visible yet, but I’m praying that it heals well and doesn’t retract. I’ll try to endure the nasal packing for six days too. I see many people who had surgery today in this community, and I hope everyone heals healthily.
