Current state of my nose – My nasal bridge isn’t low, but the nose itself is large. I also have a hump lol. So I often hear that my impression looks masculine. Desired image after surgery – My mouth is also on the larger side, and I recently had my eyes done, which is why I became interested in nose surgery. I want a feminine, refined, glamorous nose. Criteria for choosing clinics – I screenshotted reviews from cosmetic surgery apps where I thought the noses looked pretty, then booked consultations with those clinics all on one day and went around to them.

Since the nose is in the very center of the face, it has a big effect on one’s image, and they said a feminine image would definitely be possible if the hump is shaved down and alar reduction correction is done. Since my nasal bridge is high, I could use a low silicone implant or even do it without an implant. The nasal tip would be sufficiently possible with septal cartilage. Consultation – The consultant was kind. I felt the doctor’s consultation itself was systematic. They also explained in detail what my nose would look like after surgery. + Also, for someone like me who hates waiting, there were quite a few people at the clinic, but I liked that I went straight into the consultation without waiting. The appointment schedule seems well organized.

When I asked, “Do I not need functional rhinoplasty?” they looked at the CT screen and said, “Hmm… you probably don’t need it.” They recommended autologous costal cartilage because donated rib cartilage often has cases where the nasal tip drops. They said to correct the bulbous nose, shave down the hump, and insert silicone. Consultation – The consultant pushed hard for booking. I think I refused several times, saying I’d think about it more and come back. The doctor was kind but looked young, and surgically I wasn’t particularly drawn to them. + Also, the consultation started as soon as I arrived at the clinic, but in the consultant-doctor-consultant sequence, it took a long time to meet the consultant again after seeing the doctor. They also told me to wait in front of the desk instead of in the consultation room, so it felt awkward.

After touching my nasal bridge, they said I do have a hump, but osteotomy isn’t necessary, and since my bridge is already high, adding silicone could easily make it look excessive. My nostrils are larger than average, so they did not recommend raising the nasal tip. They said it’s not a difficult nose, but it’s not an easy nose either. If I were to do it, it would be without an implant, but they said they didn’t think surgery would make a big difference. Consultation – There was a slight push to book. I could feel confidence in the doctor’s tone, but they seemed a little rushed. + Also, this was a clinic where I was surprised by how many people there were. There was some waiting, so I marked two checks. It was the most expensive.
Fortunately, I think most places didn’t diagnose me too excessively compared with what I expected. I’m debating whether to do silicone or no implant… Cost is also something I can’t completely ignore, so I think I’ll probably get it done at a place that offered a reasonable price..
