Before surgery, I thought I would be satisfied if only my cheekbones protruded less. But after the swelling went down a little, I felt that rather than just the cheekbones disappearing, the area of the midface itself looked different. At first my face looked even bigger because of the swelling, and there were times I wondered why I had done it. Recovery was not just a little difficult... It was more intense than I expected, to put it mildly^^ After about a year, I compared my face with how it used to look and realized how much it had changed. I still sometimes get surprised when I look in the mirror. The surgery itself was a very major operation, but looking back now, I do not regret it. The most surprising thing was realizing after surgery that my face was not a problem limited to my cheekbones alone.
