Nose Surgery Reviews

Functional rhinoplasty

I will honestly write about what I have felt from before my nose surgery until now, haha. I originally had a bulbous nose with a blunt tip and a dorsal hump, and I decided on surgery because I wanted to make my overall nasal line a little more defined. I learned about ALU Plastic Surgery through a YouTube influencer's video and had consultations at six clinics in total before rhinoplasty. Dr. Kim Hyun-joo gave me a very thorough consultation and carefully explained what my nose needed and what did not necessarily need to be done, which made me trust her. I also liked the aftercare, as they continued to care for me meticulously until the end, so I decided on the clinic. My functional rhinoplasty plan included osteotomy, septal reinforcement and extension, bulbous-nose correction, and surgery for rhinitis, using autologous costal cartilage. I deliberated until just before surgery about whether to have the osteotomy, but looking back, I am glad I did. My nose looks more feminine even from the front, lol. The hump I had been concerned about did not need to be shaved, so we left it untouched and raised the tip to match the shape of my existing nasal bones. It may look a little high right now, but I am only two months post-op, so I will wait for more swelling to subside and for it to settle, haha. It is not the final result yet, but I am satisfied that my previously blunt tip has improved and that the overall tip and bridge line look more refined. I deliberated a lot because of the price, but after consulting six clinics and considering it thoroughly, I do not regret my decision. I think I made a careful decision based on my own standards in my 30s, and I am glad I had the surgery. :)
