I looked for clinic information on plastic surgery apps, and I checked both Gangxxni and BaxTalk. At first, I searched for clinics good at hooked nose correction, narrowed it down to a few clinics, and first looked mainly at rhinoplasty reviews for those clinics. Since it was revision eye surgery, I wondered whether I should look at eyes first, but rhinoplasty seemed like the more difficult surgery, so I searched by rhinoplasty reviews. While doing that, I looked mainly for reviews from people who had bulbous nose and hooked nose correction together with eye surgery, then chose 5 clinics. Once I decided, I absolutely didn’t look at any other clinics. If I kept looking here and there, I thought I’d actually end up unable to decide…. For my first double eyelid surgery, I went to a large hospital (a big hospital anyone into plastic surgery would know), so first of all, I hated waiting, hated how even after waiting so long they acted like it was nothing, and I didn’t like the short consultations either…. So this time, I mostly went around to smaller clinics
Advantages of small clinics There definitely isn’t zero waiting, but it’s shorter The consultation is definitely a bit longer It feels like they pay more attention to me If it’s a clinic with one director, there’s no risk of proxy surgery
Advantages of large hospitals These days, it seems like all large hospitals have CCTV (small clinics are case by case) Aftercare seems to be standardized into a manual (aftercare seems different at every small clinic)
This is just how I felt as someone who knows absolutely nothing about clinic circumstances…ㅎ
During consultations, I prioritized directors who clearly gave feedback on the points I said I wanted. If the director only talked about what they wanted, I passed right away…
I decided on the place where the consultation with the director was the best First of all, the consultation with the director wasn’t short, and I told them I wanted bulbous nose and hooked nose correction. Whether you’re looking into eyes or nose, first search thoroughly enough. There seems to be a lot of wrong information on YouTube too, so don’t believe internet information 100%; just use it as a reference. I think making time for consultations is more important Once you have consultations, you’ll probably get a feeling that there’s a director who suits you well. Personally, rather than only searching online and then getting stuck unable to decide, if you’re wondering “Should I do it? Should I not?” I think the best thing is to start by going to consultations
