I recently arranged eye surgery for my mom. Since it was the first gift I’d given her with my own money, I put a lot of thought into it, and thankfully it turned out well. My mom said her upper eyelids had drooped, making it difficult to open her eyes, and that they also obstructed her vision. Rather than aesthetic surgery, I was genuinely looking into surgery itself, so instead of focusing on making her look pretty, I had to see how well the problem would be resolved. That made it even more difficult. Reviews have limits, and because it was my mom’s consultation, I also had to consider her stamina, so visiting many hospitals was difficult... I asked mainly friends whose parents had undergone surgery, and Bicom was recommended often, so I went with my mom. Before going, I skimmed some reviews, and many said the director gave very detailed consultations. After going through the consultation, I understood what those reviews had in common. In addition to aesthetic aspects, the director explained very carefully how to approach and perform the surgery to resolve the problem, and I was grateful that they also tried to explain it so my mom could understand well. We decided on surgery without much hesitation, and it seems to have gone very well. My mom says her eyelids no longer obstruct her vision at all and that opening her eyes is much more comfortable. There is still a little swelling, but the hospital clearly told us it would go down with time, so I told my mom we should wait calmly without getting too unsettled. Even now, her overall impression seems much better than before, and I’m looking forward to seeing how much better it will look once all the swelling goes down!
