Since it’s revision surgery, I thought I’d diligently go to 4 consultations, but it ended up becoming 7, so I really went around a lotㅠ They’re hospitals that are genuinely recommended a lot for revision surgery! And after thinking about it for a week, I went back for re-consultations at two places.. but I really can’t decideㅜㅜㅜㅜ Originally, among the 7 places, it was: semi-out + incision + canthoplasty possible + ptosis correction: 3 places semi-out + incision + canthoplasty + fat repositioning: 1 place semi-out + incision + canthoplasty absolutely not possible + ptosis correction: 3 places So whether canthoplasty was possible was 4:3, and after deciding, I ended up with one place that says canthoplasty is possible and one place that says it’s not possible, so I went for re-consultations, but they still told me the same things, so I’m really tornㅠㅠ
Doctor 1 said canthoplasty is possible because there’s about 5 mm of room, and since it would be opening it and lowering it slightly, it won’t cause scleral show and it’ll be okay. For ptosis correction, he said it’s just that one side of my current adhesion has come loose and the skin has sagged, so my eye-opening looks different; it’s an eye that doesn’t need it. If we secure the line tightly again, do fat repositioning, and remove the excess eyelid skin, it will return to normal. Doctor 2 said canthoplasty is absolutely not possible and that I would definitely regret it. There’s almost no space either, and it will become scleral show. He said to decide after trying the incision, and since double eyelid surgery and ptosis correction will be included, I’ll be satisfied with that.
Both places would make the line similarly, and they’re kind.. they have a lot of experience too.. and they have good reviews in this communityㅠ But I really do have small, horizontally short eyes, and my eyes are extremely uneven, so I really wanted to get canthoplastyㅠㅠ I’m scared too, but I also wonder if it’s better to do it while I’m already doing surgery.. Since it’s revision surgery, I can’t get a clear sense of what to do. With Doctor 1, 6 out of the 7 places said I need ptosis correction, so the fact that he says I don’t need it bothers me a little, and I’m worried about what to do with canthoplasty.. With Doctor 2, the reviews aren’t really the vibe I’m aiming forㅠ And Doctor A feels like he suits me pretty wellㅠ
Everyone, what criteria do you use when choosing a hospitalㅠㅠ For me, both seem so good that I’m torn.. Has anyone heard similar things to me regarding canthoplasty?ㅜㅜㅜ
