As soon as I came in, they asked whether I had rhinitis. I said yes, and they said I needed a CT scan, so I paid 30,000 won. I was flustered, paid, and started. During the consultation with the coordinator, I had never said I was having rhinitis surgery and had not even brought up rhinitis, but the pad said “functional consultation included,” so I said I was not getting a functional consultation. Then the coordinator said I did not need the CT scan and would refund me, so I received a refund. They checked my nose condition with a flashlight. When I said I was not planning to use rib cartilage, they said a septum plus ear cartilage would work, but that a lot of ear cartilage would have to be harvested (my first time hearing that). When I said I was deliberating over osteotomy, they said, “Then think it over and let us know.” Aren’t they usually supposed to look at the nose, explain things, and tell you what direction would be suitable? It was different from what I expected, so I was disappointed.
