From the front, my wide-looking nose didn't improve much, so my satisfaction is low, and compared with the nasal bridge, only the nasal tip is raised, so it doesn't look pretty ㅠㅠ The balance of the nose shape is off, and it looks slightly upturned, which was stressful. So I looked into revision rhinoplasty and finished going around for consultations. Each hospital has a different style and each director has a different personality, so everyone, make sure to go around for consultations first and then think it over!
Since Mint and Siwoo near Sinnonhyeon Station were still relatively close to each other, I went to those two first, then in the order of Objet at Gangnam Station and Nose Lab at Nonhyeon Station. Since the Shinbundang Line was added, it was relatively convenient to get around by subway, but in cold weather it was hard to match all the dates and times I wanted, so I split it over two days. If you try to do it all in one day, it's a schedule where you need to use the whole day starting early in the morning, but the timing didn't line up that perfectly, so I ended up splitting it up and going!
1. ㅁㅌ - It wasn't hard to book a consultation, consultation fee O
This was a place I wanted to visit because I heard a lot of people go there for revision surgery consultations when they prefer a safety-oriented approach. I also heard they give blunt reality checks well, so I thought I could face the reality of my situation, and I started here first. The wait wasn't long, so the consultation didn't take too much time. They did take care with the consultation, and since my issue was simply dissatisfaction with the shape, they said the silicone doesn't match the nasal tip line, so it should be replaced, and that ear cartilage or previously used materials could also be reused.
2. ㅅㅇ - The hardest place to get an appointment, consultation fee O
It was definitely a place where it was hard to book an appointment. Maybe because it was by reservation, the consultation wait wasn't as long as I expected. Some people say their style is glamorous, but they seemed to pursue a natural look, and since I hadn't used septal cartilage, they said revision surgery would probably be possible using that. It wasn't like the consultation was extremely long, but it felt like they picked up the key points and explained them. As I had heard, there was no pressure to pay a deposit, the staff were generally kind, and the director was also friendly. But if I have surgery here, I would have to wait a bit, and they seemed to pursue a more natural look than I expected, so for now I'm putting it on hold.
3. ㅇㅂㅈ - This place also had many people, CT scan, consultation fee O
It seems like more people go there for eye procedures, like under-eye work, but recently there has been a lot of mention of rhinoplasty, so I was curious about it. It does seem like they have more primary nose cases than revision cases though ㅠ They had a lot of review photos, so it was convenient to look through them, and compared with how many people there were, I fortunately didn't wait too long. Maybe because it was peak season, this was a place where I felt there were a lot of people. Maybe because there are several directors too! Since my previous surgery was also too subtle, I clearly told them the shape I wanted, and they said it was possible. They said it would be good to lower the nasal tip height compared with now, since it looks upturned, and redo the nasal tip line. They said costal cartilage or the silicone implant in the nasal bridge must definitely be replaced. I had a lot of questions, and they answered kindly.
4. ㄴㅈㄹ - Some waiting, CT scan fee O
I had heard the wait was long, so I went prepared to some extent, and I did wait more than 30 minutes. Since the director does all the surgery consultations, I figured it couldn't be helped. In general, with a one-director clinic, it's probably better to go in with a relaxed mindset. The hospital lobby was wider and cleaner than I expected! They said because I hadn't used septal cartilage, it could be used for revision surgery, but it is a little deviated and the size of the septal cartilage isn't large, so using costal cartilage as well would probably be better. For the upturned look, they recommended extending the nasal tip while lowering the starting point. From the front it is a wide-looking nose, but they did not recommend alar reduction. They also explained how the nose would change if I had surgery. Personally, I thought the consultation was decent.
Since I like a glamorous feel, I guess my mind is leaning toward hospitals that pursue a glamorous style! I'm going to think a bit more about whether to visit more places or decide on surgery at one of the hospitals I went to above ㅠㅠ Once I choose a hospital and have surgery, I'll post a review haha
