Nasal bridge silicone + ear cartilage for the nasal tip + septal cartilage were used. During revision surgery, an inflammatory reaction was seen around the silicone area, but it doesn’t seem to be a spreading inflammation. After taking antibiotics, the inflammation is improving, but I think it needs to be removed for now.
They say that if only the silicone is removed, the nasal tip will remain, so the shape could look strange. Since my original nose had almost no nasal bridge, I do wonder if it would look as strange as other people’s, but... Since it’s not a severe inflammation that is spreading or feels soft/squishy, they said that after removing the silicone, removing foreign material such as hematoma, and disinfecting, donated dermis can be inserted.
Q1. I heard that if donated dermis is inserted, the shape can look broad and flat. To what extent would that be? Q2. After inserting donated dermis, how long do swelling or awkwardness last? Q3. Is donated dermis a material that won’t later cause the nasal tip to lift or cause other side effects?
