I had under-eye fat repositioning a year ago, and it didn’t seem to improve my dark circles at all. But the doctor said it looked much better, so I just let it go. About 6 months later, the area under my eye socket started to protrude just enough to be annoying, so I went back and had a preliminary consultation with the employee at the counter who does consultations, not the doctor. I told them the under-eye area seemed more protruded, and I naturally expected the doctor to examine my eyes and make a diagnosis, but what I got back was the consultation staff member’s diagnosis: “Then I’ll give you Shurink~” So they took me into the procedure room and, without even looking at the condition of my eyes, had me lie down, inserted a needle into my eye, and performed Shurink. After that, the under-eye area that had only been slightly annoying became completely swollen, with the aegyo-sal disappearing entirely and the whole area below the under-eye groove, meaning the entire under-eye region, puffing up. So I watched it for 3 weeks, and when it didn’t improve, I went back to the doctor. The doctor just kept repeating, “It’s not because of Shurink, it’s always been like that.” Logically, if it had always been like that, I would have come in much earlier, not 6 months after the surgery. Since I kept pushing, they said, “Then should I give you a fat-dissolving injection?” I was desperate because my eyes had changed so much, so I asked them to do it. Then they said, “Then you’ll go back to how you were before the under-eye surgery and end up really sunken, so you can’t complain if that happens~ I’ve never seen anyone take this and not put the fat back in.” But the problem was Shurink in the first place, and it melted the result of the under-eye fat repositioning lol. There’s just no solution. I haven’t gone back since, and I’m looking into revision surgery. The doctor is light-minded and stubborn.
