AM review

For my first surgery, I was only thinking about buried stitches. What I liked first ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (the downsides are below) First of all, the coordinator was so kind and the consultation was detailed, which I liked. During the consultation, they told me roughly how long the day would take if I had surgery, like how many minutes for prep that day, how many minutes for photos and signing consent forms, how many minutes for surgery, how many minutes for recovery, and so on. The doctor felt very quiet and kind. They first tried setting the line themselves, then held up a mirror so I could check it. During the consultation, they didn’t really talk about a recommended line, and it felt more like “whatever you want..~” But on the day of surgery, when they set the line, they showed me three options, and when I was deciding between two of them, he said that from his perspective this line would hold better and be less likely to loosen, and that this level of height tends to lead to high satisfaction afterward, so I trusted him. (I went with the recommended line and I like it, thumbs up) Looking at other reviews, people seemed to go with similar lines! But at any clinic, each doctor seems to have their own usual style. Still, I liked the doctor’s line here. Most importantly!!! When I described the line to the doctor in detail, he listened and reflected even small parts of it. (At another clinic, during consultation, they completely ignored what I said and acted like they would decide the line themselves.) My face is a bit asymmetrical, so my eyes are asymmetrical too, and another clinic said they couldn’t match them. But here, the doctor said he would make the lines as similar-looking as possible by setting them differently! And on the actual surgery day, he kept checking and adjusting the line several times. (And I really could see a slight improvement in the asymmetry at a glance, so I’m very satisfied.. I was told that because it’s structural, it can’t be improved perfectly!!) The downsides are 🙁🙁 The clinic is small and the layout is kind of U-shaped..? so after surgery, to get to the changing room, you have to pass through the lobby. I went to change clothes after surgery when there was no one in the lobby, but when I came back out after changing, there were some people there. Also, I don’t think there is a dedicated anesthesiologist..! I didn’t see one on the website, and I didn’t meet one on the day of surgery either. (I may be wrong.. if the presence of an anesthesiologist is important to you, ask directly during the consultation~) Maybe because of that, they don’t fully put you to sleep with sedation; they only make you drowsy enough to feel a bit woozy. > which means that when they do the local anesthesia in the eyes, you do feel the sting and pain. But it’s okay. You feel the sting, and then you fall asleep again right away.. you just need to endure it for a moment. Because the sedation was light, I didn’t have weird dreams or anything either. It just felt like a pleasant nap..~ The last downside is that because it’s a one-doctor clinic, the waiting time can get really long depending on the day. On the surgery day, I had the first slot, so there was no waiting, which was great (I recommend the first slot for surgery) When I went to remove the stitches, and when I went for the one-month follow-up, I had to wait a lot.. Even with an appointment, they contacted me in the middle and changed the schedule once (probably because surgery got booked.. since I’d already had mine, I was the caught fish(?)) I think this is a drawback of a one-doctor clinic Anyway, overall I’m satisfied with everything, and I really like my eyes after surgery now, so I wrote this at length hoping the doctor can keep practicing for a long time, If the stitch line ever loosens, I’ll come back again.
