It’s been about 15 days since I had under-eye fat repositioning surgery with Dr. Kim Do-hoon at Tobi Plastic Surgery on July 24! Before surgery, the area under my eyes looked a bit messy overall because some parts were sunken in while other parts had fat bulging out In particular, people often told me I looked tired even when I wasn’t, and that was the most stressful part for me.
So I decided to have the surgery because I wanted the sunken and bulging areas under my eyes to be smoothed out naturally together. After surgery, once you’re over 40, the swelling and bruising seem to last almost a week. But since I wore glasses, it didn’t show too much, though because there was still swelling and bruising, every time I looked in the mirror I thought, ‘Will this really get better?’ As time passed, it gradually went down.
Now the bruising is almost gone and there’s almost no pain either. There’s basically no discomfort in daily life at all. It’s only been two weeks since surgery, so I think there’s still a bit of residual swelling. That’s why I think I need to wait a little longer for the final result.
Even so, so far I’m pretty satisfied! More than anything, the under-eye area feels cleaner than before, and when I take photos, I’m happy that the shadow under my eyes doesn’t bother me nearly as much as it used to. People around me have also said things like, ‘You somehow look different,’ ‘Your under-eye area looks more natural,’ and ‘You look younger,’ which honestly made me feel pretty good It’s not a huge, obvious change, but overall my tired-looking impression feels a bit brighter, and that’s the part I like most.
It’s still not fully settled yet, so I’m looking forward to seeing how it changes as the swelling goes down more:) So far I’m recovering well without pain or any major discomfort, and my satisfaction level up to now is pretty high!
