A Quick Nose Consultation Review

I just got back from a nose consultation this time. I went to three places, and I was deciding whether to write only about the one I liked best or all three. But I figured if I was going to write it anyway, it might as well help other people here too, so I’ll leave notes on all three, even if briefly. (I went to Private, The Door, and Top Tier, and I’m listing them in no particular order.)First, what all three had in common: they were kind!Honestly, these days I’ve seen a lot of posts about people going to consultations and coming back hurt or upset, and I’d also seen a lot of posts saying the consultation manager was unpleasant, so I was worried I might come back with my self-esteem knocked down for no reason... But really, I had none of that; everyone was extremely kind!And the surgeons were also very kind and explained everything really well instead of being lazy or brushing things off!!!What was different: all of them gave detailed explanations. They told me everything one by one, like which material would reduce contracture more and which would suit me better.But the opinions split like this: two hospitals said the same thing, and one hospital said something different.I wondered if I should go around more and ask for more opinions... but I figured it was more important to finish organizing these first lol.And I also felt like they really listened to my needs in the design. The one hospital with the different opinion seemed to have a very firm aesthetic preference from the surgeon, so it felt like the surgeon’s opinion would be reflected much more than what I wanted lol.So that was a little disappointing~And the nose materials were a little different too.Each hospital seemed to favor different materials.But I had already gone in thinking I’d be satisfied even if I only did the tip, so I was considering septal cartilage, and the place I liked best matched that well.And the design was also the one I liked most.The most disappointing place felt more like, “This would be really good if we did this together too,” with plans I hadn’t even considered being added, so I think I felt a little resistanceMaybe the aesthetic just didn’t match mine, but that part was a little disappointing~~That’s about it!Of course each hospital can have its own pros and cons, but if I’m going to find the hospital where I’ll have surgery, I have to look with a hawk’s eye, right?So I put in a lot of effort and wrote this once!I spent hours every day going back and forth between reviews, this community, and hospital websites, and even then everything looked fine and appealing, so I was really confused.But after going to the consultations, I definitely feel like my eyes have been opened.I’m not saying it’s definitely the one yet, but I think I’ve narrowed it down quite a bitIf I go to any more places or finally decide on surgery, I’ll come back with another review!
