3-Month Review of Three-Stage Facial Contouring Surgery at Note Plastic Surgery

When preparing for contouring surgery, I got a lot of help from the community, so I’m leaving my honest 3-month review in the hope it helps someone else too. 1. Swelling To my eyes, there was no longer any feeling of being swollen, so I thought all the swelling had gone down. But when I went to the hospital for my 2-month follow-up, the doctor said, “There is still a lot of residual swelling left to go,” and I was really surprised inside. I already like the line now, but I’m excited to see how much slimmer it will look once the swelling goes down even more. 2. Functional recovery and eating Both opening my mouth and chewing food seem to have completely returned to how they were before surgery. I can open well and chew well without any particular discomfort. These days, except for hard or chewy foods, I’m really eating whatever I want. 3. Sensation (cheekbone area) When I touch the cheekbone area with my hand, the sensation still feels a little strange. It feels somewhat like someone else’s flesh, or there’s still a tingling feeling. But it’s not at all to the point of interfering with daily life, so it doesn’t bother me. 4. Facial asymmetry To be honest, my facial asymmetry has not been fully corrected and there is still some left. It seems that bone surgery does not make you 100% symmetrical. But the overall face line that used to be bumpy and uneven has become softer, so the asymmetry is definitely less noticeable than before, and my impression looks much cleaner. Overall It was a major surgery that shaved bone, so I worried a lot, but now at 3 months I’m very satisfied. After getting through the time when I lost sleep worrying about side effects, being able to return to daily life feels like a relief.
