Liposuction Reviews

One-week review of abdominal liposuction at Apgujeong Top Line

I had abdominal + flank liposuction at Apgujeong Top Line Clinic near Gangnam and Yeoksam Station. It'll be even clearer once the fibrosis fully melts, but I'm very satisfied right now. 1. Reason for the procedure My concern was an abdomen that stuck out more toward the front than the sides, and a three-line belly. You can't really see it in photos, but when I looked down at my stomach from above, the rectus abdominis? area stuck out noticeably while the sides were hollowed out. On top of that, there was a three-line shape that dipped in around the navel Honestly, if I had just gained weight in a more even, overall way, I probably wouldn't have disliked it as much, but I really hated this front belly that stuck out oddly and the three-line, bumpy shape from the side. I did try dieting, but it wasn't easy, and even when I lost weight, only the overall size of my stomach got smaller, while the concentrated front-abdomen shape + three-line look stayed the same. To get rid of this line completely, I think I would have had to become extremely thin with almost no body fat, but that wasn't my ideal look and I judged it impossible... 2. Clinic advantages So I had a consultation for abdominal liposuction with Manager Kim Min-hee at Apgujeong Top Line, and she was so kind and explained everything in detail. Along with the principles of liposuction, she strongly recommended doing the flanks as well. It didn't feel pushy, but more like she was recommending it because it was truly, truly necessary for the abdomen I wanted and because it would turn out so much better! She explained why it was needed, what would happen if I only did the front abdomen, and even that many people want additional revision surgery on the flanks after surgery Actually, this was my first-ever consultation for abdominal liposuction, so I hadn't expected that the flanks would also be needed, and the extra cost was honestly a burden, so I hesitated. But once she understood that, she adjusted things as much as possible to a good price. She also made conversation so comfortably that I felt at ease~ Not only the manager, but everyone I passed by even briefly before and after surgery, from the coordinator to the operating room and recovery room staff, was kind, and there was almost no awkward or hectic feeling. They were considerate and gentle so I could relax and feel comfortable. If my friends say they're thinking about procedures, I would recommend this place without hesitation. 3. Surgical results The central belly that used to bulge forward is gone now too (it's my original body type, so it's not completely gone, but only I can tell it's there now and it's almost unnoticeable!), and the shape that used to fold sharply into a three-line shape, with the area around the navel dipping in horizontally, is also gone as you can see. The flanks feel much more tucked in when I put my hand on my waist. The photos only show me standing, but when I sat or bent over, the flanks and back fat that used to fold under the bra have disappeared, and I love that too! The bumpy folded parts in the front, back, and sides are gone, so I can wear fitted clothes comfortably. I'm completely satisfied~ My side line changed more than I expected too. I'm glad I listened to the manager's advice(?) and had the flanks done as well. I was told ahead of time about skin sagging and the appearance of stretch marks since a large volume would be removed, but although it varied from person to person, I don't think mine has sagged in a way that's ugly or worrying. Honestly, I think it already looks pretty good now haha. As the skin tightens more from here, it should improve further, and when I think about the lumpy protruding area on the flank loosening up, I'm very satisfied. 4. Recovery The first day hurt a bit, but not to the point that I couldn't manage without painkillers or was in terrible pain. Bending at the waist made the abdomen fold and hurt, so I moved around like someone with back pain haha, but as long as I didn't touch it or mess with it, it didn't hurt, so it was okay. If you run or move around a lot and it shakes, it hurts a bit, so it's better to move carefully. Just one week later, the bruising and swelling have gone down a lot, and the pain when moving has almost disappeared, so daily life is completely fine. 5. Conclusion I’m satisfied with the consultation, the surgery process, the recovery, and the results. I had liposuction at another clinic before, and there were all sorts of discomforts there. Here, there were none of those small annoyances or vaguely irritating issues like at that other clinic, and the overall atmosphere was comfortable and bright, so even those little things were satisfying^^ Awesome~
