It’s been 10 days since the surgery now! I’ll write about the recovery process by day. 1-3 days I was having a hard time because of the pain, but the swelling was not too bad yet, and the bruises had not fully come up yet either, so I really liked it! When I took off the compression garment, my skin felt floppy, and the inside of my thighs was very widely separated, so it was easier to wear the clothes I used to wear. In summer, lipo, especially thigh lipo, seems to be doubly painful. Especially if there are people doing it secretly, the heat, the sweating, and the heat sensation would really make you want to confess everything. It’s not just the compression garment, but if you want to wash because it’s hot, you have to put on Aquaband, disinfect, apply ointment, and then put all the bandages on again. Not just because of the scars, but having to put Aquaband on all incision sites, worrying while washing about water getting in, then drying off all the moisture, disinfecting, applying ointment, and putting on bandages again is absurd lol. 4-8 days Day by day I swelled up more, and the bruises that had been dark and muddy turned purple and black, like purple sweet potatoes, which was disgusting.. But the bruises weren’t just bruises, they were bruises with swelling, so if you pressed hard, they would leave an imprint while pressed! I didn’t even want to look in the mirror, and the feeling of the inner thighs rubbing against each other between the compression garment was the worst. Every time I looked at my legs and thought this was no better than not having lipo, I felt depressed.. Sleeping with my legs raised and massaging them as a form of care feels pointless, and since I can’t remember what my legs looked like before, I keep worrying that the surgery failed. I really didn’t want to wear socks, but I didn’t want the bruising to spread all the way to my feet, so I kept praying that even if the bruises moved downward, they would stop before the boundary where the calf compression starts lol. Day 9 - current Since yesterday, my weight has started to go down little by little. It started at 56 and went up to 59, but it dropped to 58.4. If you’re someone who can’t tell from day to day how things are looking, you can probably check swelling after lipo by using your weight! I’m hoping it’ll drop into the 57 range tomorrow, and in fact the visual changes seem to be a little bit better too. Of course there’s swelling, but the skin itself has good tension, so I feel relieved that it probably won’t heal unevenly! I can feel my legs getting lighter when I wake up in the morning, but I still feel a pulling, knotted sensation in the front thighs when I get up after lying down for a long time, or after sitting for a long time. The pain is really gone now, I can cross my legs, sit without bracing myself, and going to the bathroom isn’t uncomfortable either. Squatting is still hard though. They say the swelling goes down a lot after the stitches come out, and I’m trying my best because I want it to go down as much as possible even before thenㅠㅡㅠ Luckily, my feet, insteps, and ankles didn’t swell, and I didn’t get bruises there either, so I could wear flip-flops, slippers, and Crocs without any problem (if I had to wear socks too, it would have been hot, and honestly I would have lost my temper while bending down to put them on). I think this varies from person to person.. Phew, I’m so relieved. I want to get rid of the bruises as much as possible before the August 15 holiday, but this also changes dramatically day by day, so now that the bruises are entering the acceleration phase of fading, I’m actually looking forward to waking up after sleeping! The photos are from day 0 - day 2 - day 3 - day 5 - day 9 - day 10. Tell me what you all think~~!!!
