My under-eye area was originally quite hollow, so my dark circles looked severe and I was always told I looked tired.. Even after sleeping well, people would ask, Are you tired these days? My front cheek volume was also almost nonexistent, so my face looked flat, and my nasolabial folds were subtly deep, so I felt like I looked older even when I wasn’t smiling.. I had more of a prematurely aged look than my actual age ^^ At first I only thought about fat grafting and went to consultations, but at several places they told me that for the under-eye area, doing semi-lower blepharoplasty together would give a much cleaner result. I thought I had a little sagging, too, and they said if I only filled it with fat, it might add volume temporarily but would be hard to improve the root cause, so after a lot of deliberation I decided to have both done together. The pain was better than I expected, but once the anesthesia wore off, the area under my eyes felt heavy and tight.. It wasn’t extremely painful, but it was a little uncomfortable when I smiled or yawned, and I kept doing cold compresses for several days whenever I had time For the first week, my front cheeks and under-eye area were puffy, and every time I looked in the mirror I thought, Did they put too much in? My family also said my face had gotten a lot puffier I was surprised, but the early stage after surgery is always like that, right? But maybe because my circulation is really bad.. the yellow bruising lasted quite a while;; With makeup I could hide it to some extent, so daily life was possible, but it did take some time before it looked completely natural. It’s been 2 months now, and what I’m most satisfied with is definitely the under-eye area. Before, even with makeup, I couldn’t get rid of that hollow, exhausted look, but now I use much less concealer and hardly ever hear that I look tired. Even in photos, the shadow under my eyes is much less, and that’s what I’m happiest about~~~~ The volume in the front cheek area does seem to have gone down quite a bit compared to the beginning. I knew fat grafting naturally loses some volume before it settles in, but seeing it actually decrease on my face did feel a little disappointing Still, this current level looks much more natural, and it doesn’t feel awkward when I smile, so I’m generally satisfied. I imagine some people are curious about the lower blepharoplasty scar, too, and if you look closely, there’s still a slight redness left. But with makeup it’s almost invisible, and you really have to look closely from near to notice it, so I’m not especially worried! I think it’ll fade even more with time. The second round of fat grafting is still being held in reserve, but I’m thinking of stopping here because if I do more, it might look too voluminous..!!!! In conclusion, the tired-looking impression has improved a lot, makeup goes on much better, and I keep hearing that my overall impression looks better, so I’m not worried. If there are people here deliberating about the same surgery, leave a comment with your questions and I’ll answer what I can!
