Bridge = 3 mm silicone, tip = autologous costal cartilage. Hi,, I used autologous costal cartilage this time because I was hoping this would be my last surgery,, The costal cartilage area only throbbed a little at first and it itched as it healed, and later I didn’t really feel much of anything..., honestly the nose packing was the hardest part I’m so glad it came out quickly, for real... And since my body type is the kind that swells easily, I did everything I could to avoid swelling: medication, walking, compression band, warm compresses, etc. (+ swelling laser treatment at the clinic too) By around 2 months, I think most of the small swelling has gone down!! Compared to my first surgery? It really went down fast!! The director was really kind and seemed very knowledgeable. They looked super confident, so if the result had been bad I would’ve been really annoyed lol I had postponed a follow-up visit before, so when I went this time they scolded me for not coming on time, haha. There was still a bit of small swelling left, so I got more laser treatment. They say if you have surgery with autologous costal cartilage, they manage things so the tip doesn’t droop later, and I think that system is good too. There were two directors, and the one who treated me seemed a bit more natural, so if you’re going for a consultation, that might be useful to keep in mind!!!
