Review 3 years after posterior lower canthoplasty

<It was not long after surgery... I deleted the photo, and there was a video, so this is a screenshot><Same day><My eyes as a child / very early 20s><My eyes these days (swollen because I got an itchy inflammation on the double-eyelid line..)>Long-delayed plastic surgery review, part 2 For the posterior lower canthoplasty, I remember the hospital, and the price was exactly an app event price I have small, clam-like eyes and my eyes were slightly upturned, so I had wanted to get it since I was a kid in middle/high school

So in conclusion, do I recommend it? Not really But does that mean I’m dissatisfied? Not that either..

First, I’m not sure about the effect for the price, and side effects vary by person but can be pretty major, so I don’t rashly recommend it.. But I’m just so-so satisfied. A satisfaction only I know about; other people don’t notice even 1 bit haha

The photos of my eyes at the time of surgery were so horrible and kept showing up whenever I scrolled through my album, so I deleted them all about a week ago, but who knew I’d end up writing a review haha......... I had written an old review on an app before..

First, after surgery, conjunctival edema in the whites of my eyes lasted nearly a month. So my eyes looked even more droopy, and the hospital actually said it seemed like there had been overcorrection ㅡ.ㅡ My lower eyelashes were not rolled inward enough to poke me badly, but they curled slightly and were almost touching. The hospital said I might need a procedure later to correct the eyelashes?.... So irresponsible, seriously haha.. Afterward, my facial expressions felt awkward. Smiling and frowning became really awkward, and when I closed my eyes tightly enough to wrinkle them, it felt like threads were pulling around my eyes, so I couldn’t even frown

Actually I can do it now, but because of that awful feeling I had back then, I don’t make expressions where I squeeze my eyes shut tightly (Back then I was anxious, but I don’t think I was just constantly worried. I must have been out of my mind.......)

The hardest part after surgery was definitely the conjunctival edema My eyes stung a lot, were dry, and felt uncomfortable

After that, because of the overcorrection, my eyes were extremely swollen and drooped downward, but in the end everything stuck back together haha....... But saying everything may be self-satisfaction? suggestion? distorted memory? I used to roughly look at the remaining skin when pulling the outer corner of my eye straight out, and I do feel very slightly that the outer corner is shorter than before. That feeling like there is not even 1 bit of room left to cut more? In the past, when I pulled my eye out, I used to think, it would be nice if it were opened even just this much...

Looking at that difference, I think most of it stuck back, but maybe it opened ve~~~~~~~~ry slightly You can think of the lower canthoplasty as basically having moved back up too Thankfully there was no C-shaped scar, and only a slight white scar remains on my left eye. Just kind of like a simple scar? But other people probably don’t really notice. Even I only think of it once in a while...

For me, I just think I’m glad it passed fairly uneventfully.... If someone else asked whether they should get this surgery, I’d probably oppose it.... The risk is way, way too big

Conclusion

Do I recommend posterior lower canthoplasty? Not really... I hope people don’t do it. The risk is far, far, far bigger than the satisfaction. To begin with, if your eyes are tiny, they won’t open much anyway.... I’m modestly satisfied, like it feels 0.1 percent better, but at the time my eyes were pretty serious The eyelashes and facial expressions eventually came back But my eyes also almost came back I have good skin/healing quality! I heal well
