Even the doctors said these eyes were difficult to work on. One director was shocked too lololol I’m posting this just so people can roughly get the vibe, rather than the exact surgery method.
First, my eyes have mucosal eversion, different line on both sides, different height, and a high fixation. If you want to know the surgery method, ask separately and I’ll tell you.
P.R.N - Seems like they don’t like risky bets? They want to go as safely as possible. This was the place I had the highest expectations for, but it seems like they choose the safest approach by doing the minimum surgery rather than improving every single part. They didn’t take photos. The manager didn’t push for reservations and the consultation was comfortable. The director was kind. There was a wait, even though I went in the morning. 1-20 minutes
R.H - The waiting time was long and there were a lot of people. Maybe my timing was bad, but they called 30 minutes before to say surgery would be delayed, and when I couldn’t answer and called back, they said they’d contact me again? But they didn’t contact me until I was almost there. I waited 2 hours. The director wasn’t super kind, but well... it wasn’t a consultation that left a strong impression. They clearly explained what parts they wanted to improve and what kind of surgery it was. It’s probably the same anywhere, but if you don’t have questions, the consultation is short. On the other hand, they answer everything without showing annoyance if you do have questions. The manager didn’t push reservations. But the hospital atmosphere was, like... rigid lololol
G.N.S.Y - No waiting. There is a consultation fee. The manager doesn’t push reservations. It seems like they have the only surgical method that doesn’t overlap with others. Maybe the director has their own unique method. They explain well, but are neither particularly kind nor rude. But if you ask about other surgical methods you heard about at another hospital, they seem a bit displeased? They explain very enthusiastically and well. I thought it would be good to go at least once for a consultation even if you don’t end up getting surgery.
O.O.N.K - Since it was opening time, there didn’t seem to be any wait, but the whole building is just the clinic. Still, it’s a bit... uncomfortable. The counter is on the 2nd floor, and the director keeps having to move via the 1st-floor elevator. The director does explain things well. There were almost no places to take photos, but here they took many photos, from eyes-open shots to eyes-closed shots. It seemed like they’ve worked on a lot of difficult eyes, so there were many reviews accordingly. The director is calm and explains everything you want to know. However, the manager pushes reservations, and they praise the director too intensely, which instead made me cool off a bit.
O.O.O (O.O speaker) - There was some waiting. Overall, the staff were kind. The clinic was clean. The director told me everything needed: what is possible, what isn’t, and what isn’t certain. They seemed honest. Also, they were the only place that took full-face photos after removing the mask. There weren’t many review photos. If you ask, they answer everything and answer clearly, which I liked most. The manager does push reservations.
G.R.B - About 40 minutes of waiting. The manager was dry, which I liked. There was no reservation push, and it felt like they left the choice to me? They explained moderately and pushed moderately lolololol The director looked at my eyes as soon as they came in and comforted me. As expected, they recommended making the double line thinner, and when I asked about various things they answered, but it felt like they really trusted themselves. They were confident and said everything is possible, improvement is definitely possible. It was okay to ask a lot of questions, and I mostly felt like I came away comforted.
G.N - There was some waiting because of a surgery delay. The manager was kind. They said they take a conservative approach, and that was true. They told me not to be greedy and to go only for function. But if you only want functional treatment, they said to go to a university hospital instead of a plastic surgery clinic because insurance applies there. So they didn’t give me a quote. That doesn’t mean they didn’t explain the surgical methods at all; they did mention several methods, but honestly I still don’t really understand. The manager also said after consulting with the director that I should do it that way. But I’m not sure if they were being honest or just not confident lololol They’re well known for their skill, but since they finished the consultation and didn’t give a quote, I was like, huh?
I booked surgery at one of these places, and I’m not saying which one because it might seem like I’m acting like a broker. I’ll tell you after surgery if it goes well. If you have any additional questions about the methods they suggested or anything else, ask and I’ll tell you what I remember!
Since this is really a revision surgery, let’s make this our last surgery ㅎㅎ
