Hello! It's already been one month since I had eye surgery from Dr. Kim Dae-hwa at Lowell Plastic Surgery (revision incisional double eyelid correction + outer/lower canthoplasty + microscopic eyelid fat grafting)! Before surgery, I had a double eyelid line, but the area above my eyes was sunken, so I was stressed because I either got a double-fold line or my eyes looked uneven. It got even more obvious when the swelling differed between morning and evening! So I had microscopic eyelid fat grafting, eye correction, and dual canthoplasty together! I still remember checking the mirror every day during the first week because of the swelling and bruising, and it feels like time passed really fast. Honestly, because my eyes usually looked so tired, I actually liked them more when they were swollen, and at first it felt a bit too much, but I still liked it, you know? But after about a month, the swelling went down and it became even more natural, so I feel more relaxed, and my eyes seem to be settling in well, so I'm really satisfied with the progress these days. Around the 3-week mark, most of the noticeable bruising and major swelling had gone down! The line also became much more natural, and I was surprised by how fast the recovery was. Since this was a revision eye-correction surgery, I worried it might look obvious, but it absolutely doesn't, and the line has settled neatly and symmetrically And with canthoplasty too, my eyes look more open! Now that it's been a month, it's comfortable enough that it doesn't interfere with daily life at all, including makeup and wearing contact lenses! Right now, this is the part I'm happiest with because my eyes look much more lively and smooth. From before surgery until now, I feel that Dr. Kim Dae-hwa at Lowell Plastic Surgery never does unnecessary treatment and really performs surgery just right, with only what is needed and without overdoing it! He didn't just make the eyes overly opened or pull them too strongly; he considered my facial proportions and safety and made them naturally, which is why recovery was so fast and I’m very satisfied.
